30 November 2014 Yes tomorrow. For once passengers on Austrian Airlines can sigh a sigh of relief. Lufthansa subsidiaries will not be effected by this industrial action. Make sure you confirm your flight. Thousands of customers will be after it. You should also know that other European strikes will take place tomorrow that could hinder your trip.

18 October 2014 Strike started at 2am local time. Only a third of trains running. 30% of region and city lines. Hit hard long distant passenger services.
Strike will end 4am Monday. It will take long distant trains several hours to get back to normal.

31 May 2014 Austrian Airlines management call off pay talks. European Court of Justice (ECJ) will weigh in on Tuesday. Get yourself a plan "B" these employees are angry.
26 May 2014 Austrian Airlines, 1,000 employees met today at a three hour meeting and rejected managements pay offer. Meeting caused flight cancellations and delays.

Friday, 28 March, 2014 German pilots Lufthansa, Germanwings. (Air Dolomiti and Austrian Airlines?) announce strike dates. Starts midnight Wednesday April 2nd and will end Friday, midnight the 4th of April. Local time.
25 March 2014 Union Verdi announced today that Frankfurt strike has now spread to Munich, Cologne/Bonn, Dusseldorf, Hannover, Hamburg and Stuttgart airports. Strike to start early Thursday 7am and go till 2pm. Flights likely to be back to normal by noon Friday.

29 August 2012 Some 10,000 flight attendants from Austrian Airlines parent company Lufthansa Airlines are threatening to strike any day now. Make sure if you are using this airline to confirm your seat. A mad rush on airline seats will be on.
Austrian Airlines get's to show off importance in the grand scheme of things. Carrier is expected to cope with the flood of passengers from Lufthansa by adding larger jets.

15 May 2012 This past week-end a wave of sickness hit AUA's pilots. 24 domestic and international flights were canceled. Sickness may have to do with the 25% pay cut pilots will have to endure starting 1 July. Tyrolean pilots to fill in if this happens again. Airline management wish to impose cuts of 220 million euros. Airline management state the pilot sickness cost airline 500 million euros this weekend.
