Update:-19 July, 2018 Air traffic control and airport worker strike is on for this Saturday, 21 July, 2018.  Strike will last 24 hours 00:01 - 23:59 hours. 5 July, 2018 Italian air traffic control strike has been deferred to Saturday 21 July, 2018.

French air traffic control strike will ripple around the network Thursday, 22 March, 2018.

Air France strike by union workers is planned for Friday 23 March, 2018.

Subsidiary HOP will strike the Thursday and Friday.

Strikes from last year
First Italian nationwide taxi strike is planned for Thursday 14 December, 2017. Hard to maneuver in and around train stations, ports, city centers and airports. Give your self plenty of time to and from Linate Airport.

Strikes from 2017 that effected Linate Airport
May 26, 2017 Air traffic control strike planned for this Sunday has been cancelled and rescheduled to July 12, 2017 1pm - 5pm. Airport worker strikes are cancelled. Alitalia strike is still on. Taxi strike planned for following day also cancelled. 
Someone woke up and realized strike coincide with G7 leaders leaving Italy. Lucky you!

Alitalia pilots, flight attendants and personnel will strike Sunday, 28 May 2017 from 10am - 6pm. Call them if you are flying that day with them.

Italian Air Traffic Control Strike
Update:-More new out 26th May 11am
Italian air traffic controllers strike is planned for Sunday, May 28, 2017. 10am - 5pm. 
This strike is still on. Chances are your flight could be delayed, brought back or even cancelled. More news 48 hours before hand. 

Italian airport workers will strike same day, 28 May, 2017 for 24 hours. Strike will 
start 00:01 - 23:59hrs.

Update:-Wednesday April 19, 2017 Great news. All aviation across Italy for the 21st of April have been cancelled.

Air Traffic Control
Monday, 20 March 2017 Italian air traffic control strike 1pm - 5pm is still on. Your flight could be brought forward, delayed or worse cancelled. Call your airline.
Aviation strikes are planned February 23, 2017. Linate ground crews will strike from 2pm-6pm. Linate Airport will have extra staff on hand to guide you. Expect severe delays this day. You should also know a taxi strike is going on. Likely not to be over soon. Blocking train station and other important travel destinations. Rome, Naples, Turin, Genoa and Milan. Milan Malpensa/Rome Airport
Alitalia is asking all passengers who are flying from Milan to/from Rome tomorrow between 2pm ad 6pm to call them, to reschedule.

Alitalia state workers at Malpensa are causing this problem not them. 

Updated today 19 January 2017 the official Italian gov site. (Yes, yesterday newspapers reported aviation strikes had been postponed to February 23, 2017, several strikes are planned for that day. Strikes cancelled were 24 hour strikes, if that helps) as you can see they've still got three strikes up...
If flying in and out of Milan's Malpensa or Linate Airport call your airline. Airport security are on strike between 2pm and 6pm tomorrow Friday, 20 January 2017. Your flight will be delayed, cancelled or brought forward.

15 May, 2015 A 24 hour aviation strikes are being planned for Monday 25 May, 2015. Linate Airport workers will be on and off striking. All flights will be effected except for flights to and from Bari, Brindisi and Genoa.

Update:-23 May 2015 Strikes are still on. Alitalia pilots and flight attendants will strike for 24 hours. UK national rail strike was cancelled. Iceland airport workers strike is still on. Greece union workers announced new strike for Monday. Worlds hopping.

7 May 2015 Bad day for travel at Italian airports today. Baggage handlers at Linate will be striking today. Alitalia flight attendants decided yesterday not to strike today.

Add to this the fire at Terminal 3 in Rome's Fiumicino Airport, airlines asked to cut back flights.

from 10 am - 6pm same time as air traffic controllers.

Italian air traffic control strike is planned for:- Call your airline your flight will be delayed, cancelled or even brought forward. 
Tuesday 17, February, 2015 1- 5pm 
20 March, 2015 from 10 am - 6 pm.

Italian air traffic control strike
Controllers will strike 1 pm - 5 pm local time, 12 December 2014. It’s going to be a mess. Long hauls, short hauls and domestic flights will be grounded. 
In general flights will be not be normal till Sunday.

Alitalia Strike
Workers will strike from Noon - 4 pm. 

As this is a general strike airport workers baggage handlers, ramp workers etc will be striking from 10 am - 6 pm. 
Call your airline. Chances are you will be cancelled or brought forward or delayed.
You don’t want to be traveling around Italy that day. Call work, stay an extra day.

Italian trains will strike all weekend.

Taxi’s will be hard to find, extra traffic on roads causing traffic jams, occasional road blocks.

14 July 2014 Next week airport workers will strike - baggage handling at Linate Airport. Strike will start 00:01 - 24:00 on Sunday, July 20, 2014. Same strike will hit Malpensa Airport also. See our front page. That day will be a headache for airline passengers.

Milan fashion week February 19-24
Milan taxi drivers will have a protest Thursday, 20th February. Make plans if flying into Linate, Malpensa Airports or Milan train station. Thousands of buyers and journalists in town. Milan's Chamber of Commerce hoping to change drivers minds.

​January 29, 2014 Not only do you have to deal with the air traffic control strike
Italian air traffic control strike Noon to 4pm on Wednesday, 29th January and
Thursday 30th January 2pm to 2:15pm. (Why bother? Guessing a pro Single Sky Bigwig will be in the air)
Wildcat Linate taxi driver strike is going on. Other dates February 20th from 8 am to 22 and a meeting is planned on February 10 to protest near a garrison Piazza della Scala, starting at 16.

Sunday, November 17 Air traffic control strike has been cancelled for the 22nd. Alitalia strike still on 1-5 as with Malpensa and Linate airport workers.
November 12, 2013 Milan's Linate and Malpensa airport workers, 24 hour strike November 22. Do check Easy Travel Report front page as air traffic control are also striking that day. Still time for lots of changes.
Cityliner strike Tuesday, 3 September, 2013 for 24 hours. Except flights to Bologna airport.
Linate and Malpensa Airport's, strike by workers from 10am-2pm on September, 9 2013. Check your flight if traveling to Bologna or Bari Airport. Perhaps Bari air traffic controllers will be on strike. Call your airline.

Friday, August 19 2013 A few strikes announced just for you.
September 6, 2013 Alitalia's subsidiary Cityliner, 24 hour strike. Best call them. Except flights from Bologna airport.
