30 May 2017 Nationwide taxi strike today. Malaga taxi drivers will join in from noon to 2pm. Barcelona airport 24 hours and Madrid Airport, strike lasted 12 hours.

Delays to Gatwick yesterday due to large pothole opening up on runway.

2 June 2016 No agreement was made Tuesday. Strike to start Wednesday 00.00. In addition every Monday from 10am to noon terminal 2 and 3 will be blocked. By law minimal service is to be guaranteed by workers. Dare we say, you might be able to "get by"

Call your airline your flight will likely be brought forward, delayed or cancelled. Airlines have plenty of time to work around this. By law some handlers will have to work during these strike hours. Pay attention if traveling to and from airports - Spanish rail strike is planned in September.

Update:-Saturday June 6, 2015 Meeting yesterday was fruitless, strike still on. With 70% of flights leaving it will keep disruptions down to a minimum. Airlines can easily work around this.

Update:-3 June, Spanish government step in and insist 70% of flights by law will have to leave. (Almost making the strike ineffective, frustrating controllers.) Now it's up to your airline, call them. More talks planned for Friday, June 5th.

Sunday, June 30 Swissport (this is happening at Barcelona El Prat, perhaps similiar situation in Malaga) "sabotage and coercion" by it's workers. Saturday afternoon, aircraft towing tractors, buses passenger and baggage handling equipment and cargo, damaged during the whole day. Causing 50% delay of flights. Today, Sunday, flights delayed still.-
