​17 July, 2018 We have some good news for you for a change. Vueling airline pilots have made a tentative deal with owners IAG.
Now for the bad news for you. Italian air traffic control will strike Saturday, 21 July, 2018 for 24 hours. Add to this Vueling flight assistance will strike in Italy. Who knows what that means?  Expect aggravation. Your Vueling flight will be delayed, canceled or even brought forward follow along with us

Update:- 29 June, 2018 French air traffic control strike out of Marseille Airport has been cancelled for this weekend. 

Update:-21 June, 2018 Another French air traffic control strike this weekend Saturday - early Monday morning. Your flight will be delayed again. Passengers getting hit coming and going. Owners IAG taking French controllers to court.  Italian air traffic control strike 5 July. 
Spanish air traffic control unions give 48 hours for Enaire to come up with some sort of offer.

13 June, 2018 Yes, here we go again another French air traffic control strike out of Marseille Airport starting Saturday 16th and ending Monday 18th read French air traffic control strike Your Vueling flight will be delayed, canceled or brought forward.

Tuesday 5 June, 2018 Announced today a French air traffic control strike based in Marseille Airport. Strike will effect your Vueling flight. Strike starts Saturday and ends Sunday 9, 10 June, 2018. 21 May, 2018 Are you flying into Luton airport strike this week-end? Be ready for a baggage handling strike. French air traffic control strike starting this evening.

More strikes in the news:-Greek general strike is planned for 30 May, 2018. Strike also includes seamen, ferries will be tied to port.

Vueling Pilot Strike
Very busy airline, based in a very badly run airport El Prat strikes. Spanish air traffic control are over loaded and predict long queues this summer 2018.
All strikes are 24 hours long. 
Wednesday, Thursday 25th and 26th April 
Thursday, Friday 3rd and 4th of May
(Reminder a public holiday in between these dates, Labour Day 2 May, 2018)

Update:-Monday 31 July, 2017 Flight delays experienced today to Spain, Porto and Lisbon. Most important no flight cancellations.

30 July 2017 Vueling, 65 flight attendants based in Paris, Orly Airport, under French contract, start strike action today till August 6th, 2017. Negotiations on going.
To cover 30 flights Vueling will bring in staff from Ibiza, Barcelona and Rome. AFP states no flights delayed or cancelled at Orly airport today.

1 February 2017 Uber is coming to town after ban in 2014. New service will use licensed drivers, is called Uber X. 30% - 40% less than a regular taxi, 5 euro minimum fare and brings competition to Cabify. Roll out starts in Madrid. Barajas to town center 20 euros.

January, 2, 2013 Vueling one of the bright stars in the Spanish economy, creates jobs and boosts economy. Union tension as IAG (owns Iberia and British Airways) has placed a bid to purchase Vueling. IAG already owns 46% already.
March 8, 2012 No surprise, Vueling reject proposal from IAG to take over the 54% that they don't own.

February 18, 2012 Madrid Airport terminal 4, passengers asked to show tickets before entering terminal after police fail to keep some 8, 000 Iberia employees from crashing the terminal.
So much for the above post.  Sent in by a viewer Gabriel. Vueling cancel some 800 odd flights in concurrence with Iberia Strike  

Wish I'd seen it earlier! If I had, I wouldn't have booked my stupid holiday via Spain for next week … :-( Anyway thought I'd let you know Vueling flights have also been cancelled. Here's the link: vuelingnews.They will refund if you call +34931220055 - (don't bother trying using "contact us" on the website, it's just takes you through endless screens which lead nowhere) - but only the half of the journey currently affected (i.e. 18-22 Feb) . My return is on 7 March and they won't refund that leg!
