Argentina General Strike
​13 June, 2018 Announced today by The General Confederation of Labor (CGT) union announce a 24 hour general strike on Monday, June 25th. Union reps cancel a meeting planned for today with government reps.
Truck drivers will also strike same day.
Expect public transportation to come to a halt, roads blocked with trucks, taxi shortages you name it. Airlines likely to join in.

Spanish Baggage Handlers Strike
28 June 2015 3,500 workers who work for Globalia who own Groundforce baggage handling company will strike starting from July 4, 2015.
Your flight to Spain with 

Passengers flying on these airlines will be effected:-Aeroflot, Aerolineas Argentinias (Barcelona and Madrid airports) Aeromexico, Etihad Airways, Korean Air, Saudia, Air France - KLM, Alitalia, Lot, and Lufthansa.
These airports will be effected. Hopefully it’s not yours.

Barcelona El Prat:-Every Friday 8am - 10am and 7pm - 9pm
Bilbao:- Every Monday 11am - 1pm and 5pm - 7pm
Madrid:-Every Sunday Noon- 2pm and 8pm - 10pm
Seville:- Every Thursday Noon - 4pm and 7pm - 9pm

Canary Islands 
Las Palmas:- Every Wednesday 9am - 11am and 4pm - 6pm
North Tenerife:- Every Monday 1pm - 5pm
South Tenerife:- Every Friday 10am - Noon and 4pm - 6pm

Ryanair has a baggage handlers strike going on right now at Madrid Airport. Although Ryanair announce that workers are now back to work, airline is still on alert. Ryanair adjusted to this strike by giving passengers a choice of landing in another airport, change flight to a different day or fly with no luggage. Perhaps your airline will follow a similar routine or use managers as handlers or bring in scabs.

  Aerolineas Argentinas and Austral Pilot Labor Strike
Tuesday, 12 August 2014 Argentinian pilot strike today was cut short (noon) by the Government, but not before several thousand passengers were left stranded at Aeroparque Jorge Newbery and Ezeiza - Ministro Pistarini International Airport.
30 International and local flights by Aerolineas Argentinas and Austral were cancelled. Miami, Caracas, Bogota.
Union states flights will be back to normal soon. Pilots looking for a 35% pay raise and some elimination of some taxes. Pilot contract ends September. Pilots gross salaries nearly $11,000 a month. Co-pilots earnings are considerable less $2,400 per month. Per AP.
The unions involved AAA, the APLA and the UA.
(My opinion only. Do yourself a big favor choose another airline, at least till a new contract is signed, which could take months in this economy. You will be stung, possibly, Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year)

Argentina Airports
No flights as Aviation Technicians Association (APTA ), aeronautical technicians, aircraft dispatchers and air traffic controllers will be on strike Thursday 10th. Buenos Aires subway workers will be on strike. Trains will be affected also. ATM's will be empty.

Aerolineas Argentinas is anticipating there will be a general strike in Argentina on Thursday April 10. Most, if not all flights will be or already have been canceled. Some of the evening flights might be rescheduled to depart after midnight.

For those with reservations on April 10, you can either process a refund or book the passenger(s) between today and April 14, without a penalty or any fare difference. If the same class of service is not available please contact Sales Support. You will also need to contact Sales Support to have tickets revalidated.
