Friday May 30, 2014 Today is the day that Namibian Cabin Crew Union (NCCU) could strike. No agreement has been made with management - deadlock. Domestic, regional and International flights will be hit if strike goes ahead.

THE NAMIBIA Cabin Crew Union (NCCU) is conducting a ballot among its members on whether to go on a strike. Based on the outcome, Air Namibia could be served with a 72-hour notice to strike.
Labour Commissioner for conciliation have now reached a deadlock.
The NCCU demanded a wage increase of 30 per cent, because cabin crew have not had a salary hike since 2007
If the strike takes off it would be a second blow for Air Namibia which only recently overcame flight delays and cancellations due to a lack of qualified pilots.
Employees not paid overtime since last November.
Air Namibia had reject union proposals for housing, travel and grooming allowances.
