12/20/09 Eurostar test three trains today. Trains get through barely. No service till temps warm up.

There will be no Eurostar services running today Sunday 20th December 2009.Following the disruption to its services over the last 36 hours, Eurostar does not want to cause its passengers any further disruption and will be conducting a programme of 'test-trains' which will not carry passengers today to better understand the problems that have been occurring. We are committed to restoring our services as soon as possible but our key priority is the safety and comfort of our customers.
We are advising travellers to change their tickets for travel on a later date or have their tickets refunded.
We have also confirmed that we will be offering travellers who suffered major delays on their train services on Friday or Saturday £150 compensation per passenger in addition to a refund on their tickets and a free return ticket.
12/18/09 Three Eurostar passenger trains are stuck in the rail tunnel between Britain and continental Europe. The difference in temperature between the chilly open air and the warm tunnel under the English Channel caused the trains to break down.
12/18/09 TSSA have accepted a pay offer. Delays mainly due to weather not by unions. Running "smoothly"

Yes, it's true, now Eurostar. You should be aware. This Friday and Saturday 18, 19. London, Paris and Brussels and not stopping at that further threats for 26, 27 December. TSSA appolgise in advance. All parties meet today 12/16

29 November 08 Just imagine 500 people actually paid to be stranded in the dark for five hours with unbearable heat after a power failure halted the Eurostar 9:40 train from St Pancras to Paris. Delayed five hours. Needless to say the rest of the days traffic suffered.
10 November, 08 Eurostar, managers possible strike 12 and 19 December 08, Balloting managers regarding, weekend work between now and Christmas working four of five weekends. Undermine their ability of balancing their work and personal lives... Regarding these new shifts English managers are now working 80% of the weekends, whereas they were sharing the work load with French counterparts 50-50. Eurostar says that the patterns were created to fairly share the workload throughout France, Belgium and the United Kingdom.
